Hi I'm D. Chris Berriman

I grew up in California, but have lived various places in the US and world building technical teams. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Today I am an executive in a large multi-national technology firm. How I got here has a lot to do with my faith and experiences as a member of the church. I was adopted by an LDS family at the age of 5 and soon developed a faith in Jesus Christ, a testimony of the restored gospel, and the principles found in the scriptures. My experiences as a missionary in Latin America and my college education led me to a career in international business.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I truly believe that this is His church in modern times. I have a strong testimony that His church has been established and re-established several times since the days of Adam. Every time that the truth has been rejected or lost, God has called prophets to restore the truth and authority to achieve His purposes. Throughout my life I have known good people in other religions--I attended Catholic, Lutheran, and non-denominational Christian schools, I work with a large number of Muslims and Jews--and the more I learn about their faiths the more I see remnants of the Church of Jesus Christ. I believe these religions were formed by good people trying to keep to the eternal principles but without the advantage of a prophet of God to guide their efforts. His church, including the priesthood and direction by God through a modern prophet, exists again today. I believe that everyone can get this same confirmation He promised. If we simply ask with faith, he will confirm the truth to us. I have asked and received answers. You can too.

How I live my faith

While being a member of the church has not always been easy, I do my best and take solace in the fact that I can be forgiven through the atonement of Jesus Christ. As a member of the church I attempt to do my part by being active in service and leadership positions in the church. At work, I cannot share my faith overtly, but try to use the gospel principles I have learned to guide how I work with the great people around me.
