Hi I'm Scott

I'm a singer, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have the opportunity to serve as a missionary for the church in Mexico for two years. I grew up in the church and was raised in an amazing family that taught me to do the right thing and follow the Lord. After my mission I plan to attend college and enter the field of medicine in some capacity. In High School, I participated in a lot of plays and musicals, acting and singing on stage. I love music so much, especially when I can use it to praise God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is Christ's church, re-established on the earth today. I know this because I have felt God's love through this church as I have grown up. I have seen the Lord bless me when I follow his teachings, and I have seen how much I have distanced myself from him when I am disobedient. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know this because under the encouragement of my older brother, I knelt one night and asked God whether the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith really translated it and is a prophet. I felt a warm peaceful feeling, the spirit, witness to me of the truthfulness of these things. I know for myself the truthfulness of this church and how coming close to Jesus Christ can truly change someone for the better.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be obedient to God's commandments. I pray to our Heavenly Father in gratitude and for help with my challenges. I read the scriptures to better understand the gospel. I use my priesthood by participating in the administration of the sacrament at church, and by visiting the sick and needy of the church. I also visit a few families from the congregation once a month with a companion to teach them and see if they need help with anything.
