Hi I'm Emma

I'm Emma I've lived in North Carolina, Idaho, and Virginia. I hope to travel the world when I get older. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My Name is Emma Jackson. I'm a huge fan of 'Doctor Who'. In school a lot of people come to me for their problems. Though I don't have all the answers I try to help them and myself look for answers. I hope to travel the world when I get older, I would love to get paid for taking pictures of this beautiful Earth that has been given to us. I also love to write sing, really anything artist. I haven't done anything church wise but I am trying to write a song and maybe submit it.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger than I am now, I only was in the church because I grew up in it. Nothing really sticked into my mind. I never was attached to it. I wouldn't listen to the prophet. I would be tempted to use wrong language, and act inappropriately. Then in my freshman year of High School a guy and his big bald head broke my nose. Though I didn't get any black eyes and the pain stayed low no matter how many times my father hit me with his elbow there I made it out and after I was in the hospital for the surgery to fix it. I was scared when I went into the operation room. Not only did I feel uncomfortable I felt a bad feeling when they started to put me out. when I woke up I was in recovery nurses all around me . Naturally I joked with them, so then no one knew how scared I was or how much my throat hurt from the tube being down in. The recovery ladies didn't want to get me up to go back to my room but they did and I was having a hard time keeping anything down. Until I asked for 2 things; first a blessing; second Ice cream and chicken. Though the ice cream and chicken came back forth a good friend of our came and helped my dad give me a blessing. I felt much better. My brother then set up things at home so then it was easier for me. and I never felt the spirit so strongly. It was telling me that I should keep on in the faith. Now I have changed for the better and I am very proud of it.

How I live my faith

I am in Harrisonburg 2nd ward, I am also a youth. Right now I am a Young Womens President for all 3 parts because we only have 2 people in each category so we just combined it all together. I am also Choir Director in my ward and I do hope to help more in my calling, than just organizing things. I often try to keep involved with everything and I often try to keep my parents involved although with their busy life it is hard to keep them close to the Faith. I often live the gospel by trying to tell other people who are willing to listen to me. I've also started going to my friends mother work to help clarify our teaching. I can also tell that what i'm doing is making a big difference in others peoples lifes though it feels like i'm doing nothing at all.
