Hi I'm Emma

I attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am singer songwriter, soccer player and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family of 9. I am the second oldest of 7 children. Family is a huge part of my life. My parents have always made it a point to set aside time for just the family to be together and I love every moment I get to be with them. I attend Brigham Young University Idaho. I am majoring in Marriage and Family Studies. I have seen the great importance of family in my life and I hope to use the knowledge I gain from school to help benefit others with their family life. I hope to teach people the important roles families play in society, the great benefit of having family time and how to strengthen family relationships. I believe it is not what you have in life but who you have in life that counts. Music is a huge part of my life. I play the piano, guitar and ukelele. More than anything I love composing my own music. I have fun playing all sorts of sports but my passion is soccer. My favorite place to be is outside. I find the outdoors to be so amazingly beautiful and peaceful. I love life and have the personal belief that every day can and will be a good day if you want it to be. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel teaches how I can find peace and happiness in this life and in the life to come. This gospel gives me direction and purpose to my life. It is through this gospel that I have come to know of my Savior Jesus Christ. He taught us how to live by setting the perfect example for all mankind. He died on the cross so that we would have a way to return to live with God again. It is through Christ's atonement that my sins can be forgiven and that I can receive strength in my daily life. Jesus Christ suffered for more than my sins, he suffered my pains, he bore my grief and my sorrow, he has experienced every trial and sickness that I have gone through. He knows perfectly what I have suffered so he can be the perfect comforter and judge. I love Jesus Christ and hope to serve him faithfully my entire life.

How I live my faith

I believe that faith requires not only believing in truth but acting on those convictions. I believe that in order to have the teachings of Christ really bless and change your life, you cannot merely believe it is true, you have to strive daily to live it. Through prayer, scripture study and attending church I am striving to develop a stronger relationship with God. Above all else, I strive to live my faith by putting God first in my life and making Him my top priority. Ezra Taft Benson said, "When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of their lives. Our love of the Lord will govern the claims for our affection, the demands on our time, the interests we pursue, and the order of our priorities. We should put God ahead of everyone else in our lives."
