Hi I'm Penelope Gracia

I am from New Jersey. I love caring for my nieces and am on a mission. I am a mormon.

About Me

My family is from Ecuador. I was raised in New Jersey, and am one of three sisters. I love to draw with color pastels, to study the scriptures, and to push myself to be a better student, daughter, sister and friend. My passion is teaching little children and the youth. My dream is to be an early childhood elementary school teacher, to be a ballerina, and one day a good mother and wife.

Why I am a Mormon

My family was Catholic before I joined the church The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am grateful for my grandparents that instilled good values in my parents. Though I didn't have the opportunity to get know them very well I feel a strong connection to them. They taught my parents to pray as a family, and prepared the way for our family to receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't remember every thing the missionaries taught when I was seven but I remember the good feelings I had when they came to our home and when we went to church. I was baptized when I was eight, and was so excited to have the help of the Holy Ghost to help me make the best choices for my growth and to help those around me. Since then, of course I have made mistakes, but I am so grateful to know that if I nourish my relationship with my Father in Heaven through daily prayer, scripture study and going to church I will always remember who I am, why I am here and where I'm going. I will always want to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love going to Institute- a scripture study class for college age youth. My faith in Christ grows as I meet other youth who come from different backgrounds and strive to be good examples. I enjoy making wonderful memories with my family and friends, and I appreciate the gifts and talents that all the people around me have. As I strive to serve Heavenly Father's children my needs are met.
