Hi I'm Tracy

I grew up in Alabama and I joined the church 7 years ago. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 50 years old and work full time in a professional position. I enjoy doing family history work and have been working on my family history since I was 17 years old. My great great grandfather on my father's side was Probate Judge of Cleburne Co, Alabama in late 1800's. My great grandfather on my mother's side was a blacksmith but taught Sacred Harp singing with a passion. It is rewarding to discover information about my deceased ancestors. It allows me to know who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I first became acquainted with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was in high school and had classes with several members of a Mormon family. Later, while in college, missionaries came to my home and taught me about the Church. I also had a college instructor who was Mormon. I did not join the Church at that time althought I knew that what the missionaries taught me was a way for me to be truly happy. Twenty five years later, the missionaries again came and taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ and about the Church. I knew that I wanted to learn more and to feel the joy that I saw in the church members faces. I joined the Church and have been a Mormon for seven years. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is what I need to have joy in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently President of the women's group of our local church. I also am the Single Adult representative for our local church and a committee member for the Single Adults for the northern third of Alabama. I am very active in the day to day events at our church.
