Hi I'm Karey

I grew up in Louisiana. I'm in college studying Ancient Greek, Latin, and French. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying linguistics and neuroscience, and I love learning new languages. In my free time, I like to go geocaching, and I also spend a good bit of time knitting.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has made such a huge difference in my life. Despite any peer pressure I've had in school and growing up, the church has always been there for me to look to for a guiding light. Following the church has given me self-confidence and the strength to stand against the crowd in support of my beliefs. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and know that we have a true prophet today. I know that this church is true, and I will follow it with diligence.

How I live my faith

In my ward at home, I helped out with the youth program and helped lead the cub scout troop for my church.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Karey
Our bodies are called temples of God because it is a place where our immortal spirit dwells. The Spirit of the Lord can also dwell within us. However, our bodies must be clean and pure in order for the Spirit to accompany us. The Spirit cannot dwell in an unclean place, and thus as we keep our bodies clean and healthy, we invite the Spirit's constant companionship. Show more Show less
