Hi I'm Sue

I'm a simple person who loves nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in many places in the United States and enjoy getting to know new areas and people from those regions. I have been married to my husband, Cal, for 25 years. We have two wonderful daughters. I have enjoyed spending time at home with my daughters but now that they are leaving for college I would like to resume my career as an elementary school teacher. I enjoy being outdoors and learning about nature. I am a beekeeper!!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was a convert to the church. She joined the church before I was born. I have been blessed by her willingness to listen to the gospel message and accept the teachings that she was looking for all of her life. My father converted to the church several years later. My parents were a great example to me and my siblings. Even though I was born into the church, there came a time when I needed to find out for myself if this was the true church of Jesus Christ. Over time I have gained an understanding and knowledge of this gospel. I know that it's true and that I am a daughter of God who loves me. I know that Jesus Christ lives and atoned for my sins. This testimony has brought me great comfort and peace especially when I have experienced trials, difficulties, and sorrows.

How I live my faith

Serving is a way for me to draw closer to my Heavenly Father. I have the opportunity to serve as a visiting teacher to four other women. They each have different backgrounds and experiences that I learn from. As I visit with them on a regular basis I become more acquainted with them. I try to find ways that I can help uplift them especially in their times of need. I also help in the women's organization for our church. Helping the president plan and carry out lessons, activities, and seeking out those in need gives me great satisfaction in helping others.
