Hi I'm Wilson

I'm a musician. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio with Mom and Dad and my three younger siblings. I grew up loving music, and especially the piano, so right now I'm studying music composition at BYU-Idaho. I also love Spanish, and have been studying it for about five years. At school I spend most of my time on my classes, but I always like hanging out with friends, playing my ukalele, and going to the LDS temple here in Rexburg. I'd have to say that the thing that's most important to me is my family. When I'm at home I spend almost all of my time with them; they've had the biggest impact on who I am and what I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I've studied it my whole life, especially during the last few years, and I've learned by my study and also by answers to prayers that the things the Church teaches are the same things Christ taught on earth. I've had more happiness by living the standards of the Church than I've gotten from anything else.

How I live my faith

The LDS church has always been a huge part of my life. I've had the chance to do several different things in the church, including teaching sunday school to nine-year-olds--which is awesome!--being a clerk, and playing the organ for services. I also love just going to church on Sunday or to other activities during the week and learning from the teachers and leaders. They're great people who understand things better than I do and who are willing to share what they've learned with me and with others.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Wilson
Yes! We believe that God called Joseph Smith as a prophet to restore the church that Christ established while on the earth. We've had a succession of prophets since then--Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today. He receives commandments and guidance from God for the world, just like Moses and the other Bible prophets did. Show more Show less
