Hi I'm Stevie Zel Hansgen

Beautiful imagination & exquisite humor. Watching the world with glittering eyes & grace in my heart. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hmm... well, I am a 21 year old "adult" who is resisting growing up. I am from Utah, and miss it very much!! I am very outgoing and really enjoy making new friends. I am always doing something. Typically laughing, traveling, roller blading, hiking, swimming, walking, running, yoga, singing, as well as other random activities. My favorite being to travel. I am currently living in Europe and loving all of my time spent here. Who knows where I will be next... I hope to experience the world while leaving pieces of my heart along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it brings me genuine happiness and meaning to my life. Knowing that there isn't any mistake I make, that cannot be forgiven is such a blessing in my life. There is more mercy in Christ, then sin in us. I used to not be strong in the church at all. When I would get discouraged and lost, I would turn to my family for advice and they used to ask me, "Where do you want to go in life? How do you want to get there?" I couldn't ever give a definite answer. I had no idea what I wanted to achieve.... I will never forget their response, "If you don't know, then it doesn't matter" it made me realize that I needed to have goals in mind, and a foundation set where I could continuously work towards something and a rough path to follow to get to where I needed to be. Being Mormon has helped give me direction and helps me daily with my spiritual progression. It isn't always easy because I have had to break habits to better myself and live worthily to receive the blessings Heavenly Father promises me. Its hard, but worth it. When I chose to follow Christ, I chose to be changed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remembering the simple things. Going to church meetings weekly, reading my scriptures, praying often, and losing myself in the service of others. Serving others has given my life purpose and substance. I am happiest when I am helping others and making them happy. I try to never leave my religion at the door. I try to stand in holy places and remember that there are reasons that our Heavenly Father has for the rules he gives to us. I try to be consistent in my actions so I can be a true example to others. I try to live in a way that is parallel to the life that I want for myself in the future and start making choices to help me achieve that now, rather then later.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?
