Hi I'm William

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I'm a student at Weber State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6, enjoy arts and crafts, chocolate Cheerios, dogs and cats, quiet fall afternoons, hikes, and being with my family. I am studying Psychology and Social work. I hope to be a family counselor.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been part of the LDS church all my life. The moment it meant the most to me was when I finally understood that this is Christ's gospel and all he does is build a path for us to return to our Father in Heaven and prepare to live with Him. I have had so many experiences in my home and in nature that make me feel more of this overwhelming love that my Savior has for me. There aren't words that I know of to explain those feelings. I just know. And I know that this feeling can be felt by more than one person. It is truly amazing.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout and I enjoy helping people who are in need both in my community and within my ward family. I visit with 3 families in my area and talk about how things are in their life.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

William
Any ordinance must be done with proper authority to be bound on Earth and in Heaven. In other words baptism by the proper authority is necessary to enter into Heaven. The line of Priesthood Authority in the LDS church comes from Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith who was literally ordained to the priesthood by John the Baptist and it is this Authority that we use to Baptize so that it is recognized by God. Baptism is an act of Obedience and shows our humility to submit to the Will of the Father. Show more Show less
