Hi I'm Leah

I'm a proud Virginian, family-oriented, currently serving a full-time mission in Oklahoma, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the fourth of eight children and love my family more than anything else this world could ever offer. I grew up just outside of the nation's capital and love it. I previously studied at a university in Utah, but am taking a break and am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from January 2013 - July 2014 in the wonderful state of Oklahoma! I'm an artist, an athlete, a 3D Designer, and aspire to do much more. I love children and the loving atmosphere they bring. I love creativity and learning new things. My faith drives me in my daily life, and aspires me to be better each and every day!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the happiness and joy it brings to not only me, but many others. I believe in the gospel with all my heart and know it to be true, restored in it's fullness on the earth today... There was a time in my life when I wanted to know for myself whether or not this was the true Church restored in Its fullness. I prayed to my Father in Heaven sincerely with real intent and received my answer, something we all have the ability and blessing to do. Speaking to our Heavenly Father, through prayer, is a special gift of which we all have. He will always want to hear from us, no matter our state. I found that the Book of Mormon helped me to better understand The Bible, never contradicting in any ways. The Book of Mormon also helped me to learn additional truths, and to get through the many trials in this life, bringing me additional happiness and understanding. We have living prophets and apostles on the earth today, the priesthood has been restored, and it has blessed me and many others in so many ways, and can help and bless all of us. I believe in and have seen many miracles in my life and know that Heavenly Father knows what is best for us and loves us unconditionally.

How I live my faith

I am currently a full-time missionary for the Church and am loving every minute of it! It's an amazing opportunity to serve the Lord by serving His children and sharing the gospel with all of His children! Everyone deserves the opportunity to receive His gospel and have peace, comfort, happiness and joy in this life and for eternity. I have the wonderful opportunity to be one of His mouthpieces in doing so. As a missionary it's a great opportunity to exercise and build not only my own faith, but also build the faith of those around me in our Savior. I read my scriptures and pray every day, as well as serve others, and make it a part of my daily life and routine. I attend church every Sunday and partake of the sacrament. I make the Lord a part of my daily life and strive to realize the importance of family and having my own someday, loving the family I have now.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course! We do not disregard The Bible, but believe in it, in addition The Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. We believe in the power of His atonement, and believe that He is our Savior. He is the perfect example, and we strive to become more like Him. Show more Show less
