Hi I'm Angela

I am a wife to an amazing husband and a mother of two wonderful young children in San Diego, California. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a convert to the church. Before I was introduced to the church I just went off of stereotypes about mormons and I judged them by them. I never thought in a million years I would become one and or marry one. But I did. My husband was my first introduction to the church and him and his family cleard up all of my bad thoughts about mormons. I am a stay at home mom to two wonderful young children. I love to cook and make things I find on Pinterest. I really enjoy proforming, wether it be dancing, singing, diving, color guard. I really enjoy playing and hanging out with my family. Kids grow up to fast so I am trying to enjoy the time that I have with them while they are small.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I got my neon sign. When I met my husband he was in the USMC and had fallin away from the church but said he always wanted to go back. At first I freaked out because I knew nothing about the church and only thought about the sterreo types. Then I met his family they were loving, accepting and so kind upon first meeting them. They answered all my questions and we had great discussions about the church. Even after talking about it and even attending church with them a few time I still didn't think I would ever be apart of it. Once my husband got out of the Marines we moved into a house and randomly he told me he was going to church that weekend. He went and I did my thing. When he got back he told me he invited the missionaries over to start teaching me. At first I was a little shocked but I was ok with it. One of the first times the missionaries came over they asked me what it would take for me to know that the church was true, and I said a big neon sign. So as I was taught I absorbed a lot of information and started praying a lot. I got used to the missioaries coming over and teaching me. One of the missionaries who had been teaching me since the beging was getting transfered to a new ward and my husband told me the news. I told my husban that if I decide I want to get baptized that missionary was going to come back to baptize me. And my husband said what if I can do it? I was over come by this amazing feeling that made me so happy. I was so happy as i was going to the grocery store. I kept that to myself for a week then told my mother- in-law who told me it was the spirit. The new missionary we got after transfers the first tim meeting me challenged me to set a date to be baptized. My husbands whole family was in town that one time. I accepted and was really nervous. My mother-in-law helped me so much. Then two weeks later I was challenged to get baptized even sooner. And I did. I was ready. My baptism was one of the happiest days of my life.

How I live my faith

Being a new member I have just recived my first calling to be on the committee for the womens functions. We plans and put on all sorts of get togethers for the adult women. I also visit teach three wonderful women. Visiting teaching is going to the members home and checking in on them and givin them a small lesson. I am still learning so my compaion normall will give the lesson.
