Hi I'm Spencer Rae McCulloch

I grew up in Burnaby, BC, Canada. I love to play sports. I have a passion for electronics, sports and service and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many interests, I like to play sports (mostly soccer, rugby, ultimate Frisbee and dodge-ball) and have fun, get out and enjoy life, I like going on adventures and seeing where things lead me and what I can learn. I enjoy classic rock music and most other types of music except rap and country. Electronics, including computers, video games have been a huge interest throughout my life. I am currently serving a mission in the Taiwan, taichung mission learning mandarin!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but it wasn't really part of my life until my late high school years. When I was younger I just went to church because it was what we did on sundays, I didn't appreciate or value the teachings I was learning at that time. My early high school years were my "dark-times" I had a "poor" vocabulary, participated in things which I knew were wrong and pretty much was inactive but would still would go to church occasionally. A point came in my life where I questioned why I was going to church and thought it was pointless if it didn't have personal meaning. So I sincerely pondered and prayed to find a personal reason to go and learn the gospel. I found my answer and was strengthened and forgiven and the weight of guilt and regret were lightened so much! I'm so thankful for the teachings and values I have to fall back on in times of temptation, this church means everything to me, without it Christ in my life I would be lost.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have had many different callings, my favorite one so far has been the assistant Scout Leader. Being able to influence the lives of these youth and see them grow strong physically and spiritually has changed my life. I go and help out local missionaries as much as I can either going out with them teaching or contacting people on the street.

Are Mormons Christians?

Spencer Rae McCulloch
Yes we are! We believe and know that Jesus Christ is the beloved Son of God sent from heaven to be our Savior and Redeemer and that through Him and the Atonement we can become clean from our sins, sin meaning to willfully disobey God's commandments. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, to end the great apostasy which began after the death of our Lord and savior and his apostles, called upon a young man by the name of Joseph Smith to once again, as He has done in the past, restore the fullness of His church here on earth. Through this restoration we have a book called The Book of Mormon which provides convincing evidence of this restoration. Along side the bible, the Book of Mormom is 'another' testament of Jesus Christ. I know this to be true, not through people telling me and just believing them but through my own sincere wanting to know and desire. I have read the Book of Mormon, I have prayed to my Father in Heaven to know if this book is true and I have found for myself it is. I encourage anyone who has but the slightest desire to find out for yourself, get a copy of this amazing book and pray to 'your' Father in Heaven with a sincere heart having the faith that you will receive an answer and you will.
