Hi I'm Austin Robison

I grew up in Michigan. I attend University in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I a student at BYU-Idaho - an International Studies major. I love water sports, traveling, watching soccer, eating Mexican food, riding roller-coasters, and rocking out to whatever, whenever.

Why I am a Mormon

There has been nothing that has ever brought me truer joy, than when I have been living the Gospel and trying to do what is right. Because of it, I have a strong relationship with my family, both immediate and extended. Of course I've been faced with choices in my life that would have taken me off the path that I'm on, but because I know what is right and have those strong relationships founded on the basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with those people who mean the most to me, I've been able to keep my focus on serving the Lord and doing what is necessary to return to him. Obviously I'm not perfect and have made plenty of mistakes, but that's the beauty of the Gospel! There isn't a better feeling than knowing that Jesus Christ made it possible for me to be forgiven of everything, through his sacrifice. This one statement is so simple and so true, and if I can be willing to put God's desires for my life ahead of my own, everything will be fine. I know that it's true and the my Heavenly Father knows me and is aware of me and my wants and my needs every moment of every day, as he is with all of his children, no matter where in the world, or what their circumstances are, or what decisions they have made in their lives. Everyone can have the joy that I have and the knowledge of the truthfulness of the Restoration of the Gospel. This is one of the only things in my life right now that I am 100% sure of. I'm a Mormon because I know that I want to be happy and because I know that my Savior lives and loves me and the only way for me to have that true happiness is to follow him.

How I live my faith

The friends that I was blessed with have helped my so much. They have been wonderful influences in my life, not to mention my family, always inspiring me to do what is right and to be myself. This alone has made it so easy to live my life the way I know my Heavenly Father wants me to. I applied to, and was accepted into BYU-Idaho which has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The atmosphere there is so uplifting and positive. Its so incredible to be on a campus where about 98% percent of your classmates have the same standards, values, and eternal goals as you. The experience I had my first year has made a lasting impression on my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Now I'm taking my next step as I prepare to leave for Russia for two years as a missionary!
