Hi I'm Quinton King Swan

I'm a Mormon young'un. Don't count for much, but I'm good for target practice.

About Me

I bleed awesomeness, patriotism, and blood. I’m a beacon of inspiration among my comrades and I live to defend the freedom of others. If my playing of videogames somehow coincides with some alternate dimension in the multiverse, I have saved dozens of princesses; saved the earth from a giant alien parasite; saved humanity from alien invasion; shot bubbles out of my mouth; and I even killed a dragon by shouting at it. If I were a ninja turtle I would be Leonardo because I’m a total boss and my katana skills are hacks.

Why I am a Mormon

My entire family is LDS, and I was baptized at the age of 8. I received my testimony through the Holy Ghost when I read the Book of Mormon and prayed for myself to know whether it was true. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us to reach our vast potential. It is written in the scriptures and lies in wait as answers to our prayers. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ who, through the atonement, has opened the way so that we can move past our failures and obtain true happiness.

How I live my faith

Well, the first thing I do is start off with a good breakfast. I'm not talking about the continental breakfasts that hotels wave in front of you like a set of keys in front of an infant, I'm talking REAL good breakfast. Waffles, Eggs, maybe even a pork cutlet. Who knows? Point is, it's the most important meal of the day and even though people say that, they don't take it seriously. I think it has something to do with the effort it takes to get started. Most don't know how to crack eggs properly. Recently I discovered that if you crack the egg on a flat surface as opposed to a corner, then you get a more controlled crack. Crazy right? I'm not certain how the cracks promulgate in the shell given that the surface area of the stricken surface is increased, but somehow it all just works out. Perhaps it's just anecdotal that I've seen more success doing it that way. I haven't actually asked around or done any studies comparing the two methods. Another important tip is to cook the eggs on low heat. It takes a little patience, but the evenly cooked eggs are definitely worth it. Next comes the carbs, be that in the form of toast, bagels, waffles, or what have you. These are what get you rolling in the morning. Don't skip out on them. Even the most sedentary lifestyle can justify a slice of toast in the morning, so long as you don't go overboard with jam or Nutella. Anywho, once you got everything together and some Rachmaninoff playing in the background, you're looking at a good time. What does this have to do with my faith? Well, nothing really --then again maybe everything.
