Hi I'm Erin

I am from Cody, Wyoming and am a dance educator. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming and loved living in a small tourist town. Food has always been a big part of my life and my mother was always cooking something delicious in the kitchen. It provided a sense of warmth and togetherness in our home. Dance has also been a big part of my life. After graduating from high school I studied Dance Education at BYU and I am currently teaching at a dance studio here in Louisville, KY. Dance helps me feel balanced and grateful for a strong body. My husband is currently attending dental school at the U of L here in Louisville and I stay home during the day to take care of our 18 month old son. My husband and I have been married for almost five years and we are so happy. I love being a wife and mother and we enjoy cooking and eating as a family as well as going for walks and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

As a Mormon, I believe that the purpose of this mortal life is to be tried and tested. I know that if I do my best to be a good person and make positive choices; I will be able to return to live with my Heavenly Father with my family for all eternity. This knowledge that families can be together forever, If i do my part to do what is right, helps me to have perspective and purpose. As a Mormon, we are encouraged to read our scriptures and pray daily, as individuals and families. This time of study and prayer each day allows me to feel peace, direction, and comfort in my life.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon helps me to feel peace in my life through prayer, scripture study, church attendance, and serving others. Once a week my family also gathers to have a spiritual message, activity, and treat. This time together allows us to evaluate our lives and decide how we can improve our relationships, testimonies, and overall goals. We have a family theme "Be Active, Move Forward" (spiritually, mentally, physically , and socially) that we incorporate into our goals as a family. Once a month I also visit two women in my area. At this visit, we discuss a spiritual message and I make sure that she is taken care of and feeling loved.
