Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Oregon and joined the church after going to BYU on a scholarship

About Me

I am married with 2 grown kids and 2 grandchildren. I enjoy working in the yard and had a garden for years. I also know my way around the kitchen and love to barbeque most anything. It doesn't take much to get me out fishing on a lake in our boat.

Why I am a Mormon

One of my mothers biggest regrets was that we didn't have any "religion" in our lives growing up. After investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a college student I knew for myself that this way of life would make me the happiest. I'm far from perfect but I take great comfort in knowing the Lords plan for all of us and trying to follow it the best I can.

How I live my faith

In our church, I am involved in telling people more about our faith and answering questions they might have. We recently helped organize a "Preparedness Fair" to plan for that "rainy day" for our local community. Some of the most satisfying experiences I have had have been lending a hand to someone who needed it.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Jeff
The short answer is to help the church grow and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I can attest that I never miss the 10% I give and have been blessed many times over for the small contribution I make. Show more Show less
