Hi I'm Judy

I am Baby B in a set of twins. I'm a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Judy and I’m a Mormon. Initially, I should say that I’m a Mormon because of my Dad. A lover of classical music (and a non-member), he used to visit Temple Square while he was in the Army Air Corps in the mid 40’s, to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir practice. Many years later, reflecting on those pleasant experiences he wrote to the Church for information about the Choir. He received that information, along with a copy of the Book of Mormon. One night after reading the Book of Mormon promise in Moroni, he put the promise to the test and offered a prayer wanting to know if the Book of Mormon was true. The result was a very vivid dream in which he received confirmation of the truthfulness of the book. He joined the Church soon after and never looked back. While I have never had a dream as real as the one my father had, the truth of the Book of Mormon has been manifest to me in other ways. When I hear gospel truths, they strike a symphonic note of response within me and my heart gladdens with joy. This is how I came to the knowledge that this is the true church of Jesus Christ here on the earth. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is beautifully simple, and simply beautiful. And I thank my Heavenly Father every day for this knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because of some miraculous experience, but because my heart tells me that it's right.

How I live my faith

In the Book of Mormon we are taught that "When we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God." (Mosiah 2:17) That is how I live my faith. By serving others, and always looking for opportunities to serve.
