Hi I'm Ronnie

I grew up in Kansas. I Freerun. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently attending university in Utah, where I am studying International Business... and a little bit of Mandarin Chinese, in hopes of one day creating my own international company. I enjoy what most any 20 year old boy enjoys, hanging out, playing guitar, sewing (okay maybe that one isn't so common), but one interest that is a bit off from normal is that I love to Freerun. There really is nothing quite like running up a wall or landing the last back-flip in a combination... or landing on your back and getting right back up to try it again! Something I have found is that to be a good Freerunner the first thing you have to do is believe you can land the stunt, and then trust that your body will respond the way you need. It's funny how this is a parallel to a belief in God. First you have to believe He is there and He wants to help you, then trust that He will help you learn and grow by showing you what it is you need.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has the truth. You can feel it as you attend the meetings, and you can feel it when you read and study the Book of Mormon. I am Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father, and his Son Jesus Christ. I have prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if this is his church established on the earth... and He answered me. I am Mormon because through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I can become closer to Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day, I first start my days with prayer, thanking God for my opportunity to be on this earth for another day, and asking him for strength to do those things I need to do. I also study my Bible and my Book of Mormon daily, this helps me to feel closer to God and allows me to feel the Holy Spirit. On the Sabbath (Sunday) I attend church, where I serve as a teacher to the seven year old children. I then end my day with prayer, my own personal time to communicate with God and pour out the feelings of my heart.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Ronnie
Everything I see tells me that there is a God. I look at myself, at how perfectly my hands moves, how my body is able to be so complex, and yet it operated with little or no thought. Chance does not create something as amazing as this, even with all the scientific knowledge of our time we would be unable to come anywhere close to this feat. Outside of myself, nature almost yells at me that there is a Creater. I look at the small flowers, beautiful in their own way, a masterpiece for even the most accomplished artist, and yet it grows on its own... I cannot imagine how such a beautiful thing could have created itself, or that by chance these flowers appeared. I look animals, with their ability to learn, to reason, to react. Everything is so complicated that we have barely started to understand, yet everything is so simple that we are able experience so much even with understanding so little. These things, along with many others, tell me that there is a God. Show more Show less
