Hi I'm Tyler Carpenter

My name is Tyler Carpenter and I love music, oh...and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Just a little about me, my biggest hobby and love is music. I love writing music, recording music, and performing music. I can play the piano, cello, and sing. I have lived in United States, England, and Ireland.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old I started asking myself why I was Mormon. My whole family was Mormon so that was my real big influence. I realized I didn't have a testimony. I didn't want to serve a mission, and just thought I would keep being Mormon until I left my house. When I went to college at BYU-Idaho, I realized that I did have a testimony and that I had just been struggling with it for a few years. I am a Mormon because I know that it is the truth and that it can bring happiness to our lives.

How I live my faith

Living the faith has always been a struggle for me. I have never had strong groups of friends that were Mormons and I was normally the only Mormon in my friend group. When I moved to England I was the only Mormon in my school, so living my faith was very hard but strengthening.

What is being a Mormon like?

What is it like being a Mormon? I will be honest with you...it isn't that easy, but it is the most rewarding. Being Mormon is like playing a board game in which there is one path that is clear to win the game. With these steps I know what my life needs to be, how I am to get there, and what I need to do. Imagine going through life with multiple paths, not understanding what will make you truly happy forever? Being Mormon allows me to feel happiness and peace knowing that I am going the right path towards Happiness. Show more Show less
