Hi I'm Ingela

I am a mom of four wonderful boys. I lived in Sweden for ten years. I love art, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a mom of four boys. I married a Swede. I am a college student working on becoming an art therapist I enjoy photography, art, reading, traveling, dancing, listening to music and eating dark chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. That doesn't mean that I have known my whole life that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true. At the age of 18 while in Sweden right after graduating from high school, spending my time away from family and friends is when I took time to really ponder if what I had been taught my whole life was really true. As I searched the Book of Mormon not always understanding everything I was reading and prayed for help in knowing if what I was reading was true. As I read the words I had heard so many times before it was different this time. I felt at peace and continued to read the words through tears. I had to ask myself why I was feeling so different this time compared to other times that I had read and studied the same words. I knew that the Lord was pouring out his love to me at that time when I had really wanted to know for myself if the scriptures were true if God really lives. I can't begin to write down the way I really felt that day. It was such a wonderful feeling that I don't know how to describe in words, even if I could find the right words they wouldn't be given justice for the way I felt, but I can tell you that I know that God lives and that he loves each and everyone of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I am grateful to be a member of this church it brings a peace and reassurance to my life. I am grateful to know that families can be together for eternity. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am by far not perfect, but I try to live my life with integrity. Being honest in all we do and say makes for a better place not only in our communities, but within our own homes and most important it brings joy in our lives to know we are honest not only to our Heavenly Father, but also with ourselves and others. I go to church every Sunday and enjoy learning and increasing my testimony with so many other wonderful people that are all striving for the same things I am. I am edified and gain energy to do better every week by attending my meetings. I love to serve others. Serving has helped me overcome difficult trials and keeps me from become negative with the struggles I experience in life. It brings me joy to see others happy. I love being a Mormon!!
