Hi I'm Susan Allen

I grew up in Southern California, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and husky. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am recently married and moved to Utah with my husband so he finish school. I love being outdoors and riding my bike. I graduated college in fashion merchandising and psychology. Right now am working as a beauty advisor and excited to see what else heavenly Father has in store for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recent convert to the church and was baptized and confirmed in March 2011. Joining the church has been the biggest blessing in my life and I have never regretted it. I had been to several different churches and they never felt right. I was in search of the truth and I found it when a friend from work invited me to church with her, she is a Mormon. From the moment that I walked in I felt the love of the savior through the people that talked to and got to know. That day changed me forever. I talked to two amazing missionaries for two hours after church, then went to one of the shepherds house for dinner, then we went to a fireside at the stake presidents house, where i got to hear testimonies from people from all over the world. I left that day filled with the spirit and wanting to know more. I met with the missionaries 4-5 time a week until I was baptized a month later. The week after being baptized I offered a prayer at another recent converts baptism. The week after that I attended General Conference where i got to hear the prophet speak. The next week I was asked by my missionaries to serve a mini mission for 6 weeks as a full time missionary, which I accepted with excitement. After coming home from my mission my family was very upset and had difficulty understanding the church. I was kicked out of my home. I moved in with the same shepherd couple who I met the first day I went to church. I was given the opportunity to speak a stake conferences and missionary firesides. Shortly after I retured home from my mission I met the man who is my husband. We waited until I was a member a year to be sealed in the San Diego temple. I am so grateful for the gospel, my savior and to be apart of his church. I feel blessed everyday.

How I live my faith

I love having the opportunity to serve others. I have served in the church as a ward missionary, mission prep teacher, FHE coordinator and YSA conference committee. These calling have brought me so much joy even though they are challenging. They have been a wonderful reminder that the Lord will never give you any task that you can not handle.
