Hi I'm Wesley Anne

I grew up in California and now live in Arizona. I graduated in Elementary Education from BYU-Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho with a BS in Elementary Education. My goal is to teach in a third grade classroom. I played water polo in high school as well as volleyball and swimming. I love camping and hiking in the mountains and snowboarding. My family spends one week out of the summer at the lake, wake boarding and skiing. One of my hobbies is to cook. I love sharing new foods and recipes with my family. I am always excited to try new dishes and techniques to make food enjoyable. I love to read, especially on gloomy, rainy days. I want to travel the world and plan on spending my summer vacations from school going to awesome and interesting destinations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel and attended church because it was what my family did on Sundays. It wasn't until I started high school that I received a witness of its truthfulness. Seminary is a program for students to have the gospel taught an hour each day. My family lived in an area where seminary was early, before school. I figured that I should gain a testimony for myself if this was important to me and if the gospel was true. It wasn't an immediate change, but was gradual over the years and through different experiences. As I learned more of the gospel, I lived those commandments and standards. I came to love the scriptures and the truths found within. I continue living the gospel because I have found for myself that this is true and it has become an important treasure in my life and a large part of who I am.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings and have taught family history classes. There are activities that are always fun and uplifting to participate in during the week and dances that have good music. I am a substitute teacher for the Primary, teaching children ages 5-11 about Jesus Christ and the gospel. I strive to obey the commandments in my daily life and love finding opportunities to serve.
