Hi I'm Sandra

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm a Mormon. I love crafts, sewing,& playing piano.

About Me

I am a Mother of two and a Grandmother of 5. I enjoy Crafts of all kinds, Writing, Reading, Sewing and Ceramics. Some goals that I have accomplished have been owning my own ceramic company, Displaying and selling paintings in galleries, designing and selling Renaissance clothing for children and adults, and Authoring several small fiction and non fiction books. My interests are varied and I am always striving to gain new knowledge in different fields.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and asked for my own testimony of it's truthfulness at the age of 17. I have had many experiences of miracles that have strengthened my knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel. Although there have been times of disparity, I only have to think of the uplifting ones and the feeling of warmth and tears I received when I asked Heavenly father if The Book of Mormon was true. This testimony of it's truthfulness allows me to keep pressing forward and stay a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of my weaknesses is a hermit life style. Due to allergies I have curtailed many outings. To counter act this bad habit, I continually pray for ways to reach out to others without too much stress. I have found that whenever called to a position in my ward I gladly serve even when I don't feel worthy to do so. Right now I am the pianist for the Primary (children's sunday school). This keeps me out of the room full of perfumed women where I would have to escape and sit in the hall while coughing and regaining my voice. This calling has been a blessing in many ways. Since I was a Violinist while growing up, I have a difficult time coordinating two hands together while playing. So I have taken the primary music and re-written it for a beginner. This allows the children to get the melody and sometimes the accompaniment as well. Plus I am still able to converse with other members of the church but not be attacked with allergies. My Visiting teaching is now done through letter writing instead of visiting but I still feel as if I am fulfilling my job.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Sandra
The Bible tells of the beginning of this world and Man, and the coming, life and purpose of Christ. It is a compilation of sacred writings by God's Prophets that gives us a standard to live by that will help guide us to be better than what we are, thereby allowing us to follow in Christ's footsteps and return to our Heavenly Father one day.
