Hi I'm Elizabeth K McShane

I am from Texas. I was studying Elementary Education. I am on a mission in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Before my mission, I was going to BYU-Idaho to study Elementary Education. My passion for teaching and helping others has had a huge effect making me who I am. I have come to absolutely love going to school and learning more about everything (except blood. That's up to the doctors :) I love to read and sometimes I think could talk for hours. I am the oldest of 4 children with 2 kids still at home and a brother who recently joined the army. I have had a several jobs in the past, but one of my favorites was when I was a custodian on internship at Walt Disney World. You have probably guessed it, but I am most definitely crazy about all things Disney now. I am also the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world and I love going to the Wizzarding World of Harry Potter in Florida. I love my family, and although I miss them like crazy, I know that a mission is exactly where I need to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Just because I was born in the church, doesn't mean that I have never questioned it before. I am a Mormon because I have decided to take Moroni's challenge in the introduction of the Book of Mormon and ask if this is not the true church of Jesus Christ. Through prayer and scripture study, I have listened to the feeling of comfort and peace that come from the Holy Spirit telling me, in my heart, that the church is true.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Albuquerque, New Mexico mission and I love it. It has been challenging as well as a blessing in my life. However, my participation in the church didn't just start there. Before this, I had many assignments in the church. My favorite of which was being able to lead discussions and teach the women in our congregation once a month. It was never the easiest thing to do, but through it, I was able to learn more about myself, who I am, and how we are all children of Heavenly Father. My second favorite thing to do, was to teach the 3-4 year old class about Heavenly Father's love for them. I love being able to teach the gospel to the world.
