Hi I'm Shem

I'm from Singapore, and i would really like to go to NYC someday to catch my favourite musicals!

About Me

Born and raised in Singapore, I recently just completed my military service and will now be leaving on my mission soon. During my free time, I love reading books (a habit i picked up while in the military). I also love watching english football and broadway musicals. One of my goals is to watch them both live at Old Trafford, Manchester and Broadway NYC respectively someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I believe that this is God's Church on earth today. It gives me a more purposeful meaning in life, like how families can be together forever, even after life on earth. After I completed reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed and asked God if it was true. I had a desire to find out if I was in the right church. I did not get an answer right away, but when it came a couple of days later, it opened my eyes and made me realize how the Book of Mormon and the Bible (King James version) are from the same person. The Book of Mormon and the Bible are both testaments of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Bible contains the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it has been translated and understood by so many different people that there isn't just one church right now. Man are lost. So to help us, God provided us with another one of His testaments, The Book of Mormon. And if you read and pray about it with the right desires in your heart, you will know that it is true. And that will lead you to His true Church.

How I live my faith

One of my favourite scripture verse is Luke 22:32. It states that when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethen. Service is one of the things we can to do to help strengthen one another. When i serve, i do not expect anything in return as I am in debt to God and all those before me. When we serve one another, we are only serving God. And by doing so, it brings us closer to Him.
