Hi I'm Daniel

I love fiction, I want to design and run an online video game, I'm serving a full time church mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Daniel. I am 20 years old and I am currently serving in North Carolina on a full time mission for the Church. I have always had an interest in science fiction, and fantasy. I love Ray Bradbury's work and basically any story, whether it's a book or a movie, which provokes though. I love pencil drawing, especially pictures of monsters and heroes, but also just people in general. Ultimately i would love to be able to design an MMO video game where i could put some of my interests into action. I want to learn how to weld, and work with small engines, so that i can build a go-kart, or any variety of small machines or contraptions for that matter. I'd also love to live somewhere where i could own several acres of land so that i could have the room to enjoy some of the things i would make, and still be near the comforts of my own home. I spent several years in high school learning about computers. I have always been good at working on computers, but am constantly frustrated at the fact that they so frequently find themselves with problems. I would like to continue to improve my IT and Networking skills, as well as develop programing skills. The more I think about it, the more i realize i would like to be good at just about everything. Perhaps becoming decent at most think would just have to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had an interest in my Faith because of its ability to answer so many of life's great questions. I love having the confidence that the Scriptures are true. This confidence has allowed me immerse myself in them, and to view them as the great handbook of life. The security this knowledge has provided me is immeasurable, and the faith that it has allowed me to build is priceless. Understanding, or at the very least glimpsing, the rules with which God governs the universe with has always deeply appealed to me. Having additional witnesses from modern day Prophets and Apostles, not to mention the Book of Mormon, has greatly enlarged my understanding of my purpose here on Earth, and my potential throughout eternity. The constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, has been, and always will be, a huge motivator for me to stay on the right path. Knowing, and feeling, that a member of the Godhead can continually watch over me, assuming that i stay true to the promises I made to the Lord at Baptism, is too good to live without. The blessings that God provides us when we are obedient to His commandments are worth far too much for me to even dream of trying to go without. I am so grateful for a knowledge, as basic as it may yet be, that when we do whats right in the Lord's eyes, He will always support us. Knowing that no righteous deed goes unseen, or unrewarded, provides me with a powerful motivator to continue in the Lords Kingdom. What ever the sacrifice, it will be worth it, and be worth far more if we continue faithful to the end.

How I live my faith

The biggest way that i have lived my faith is by serving as a full time missionary in the Lord's church. It has given me the opportunity to grow so much personally, as well as to serve those around me. As a missionary I have helped others in a variety of way; everything from helping to repair damage caused by a tornado, to sharing simple messages with families about our Saviors life and ministry. I live the Gospel by reading my scriptures daily, by praying fervently for my self and for others, and by helping those in need, both physically and spiritually. The teachings of Jesus Christ, and the life He lived have been the primary example in my life of the way I too should live. Since deepening my conversion to Christ and His teachings, I have found my self more patient; more selfless; more obedient; and more able to love those around me. Of all of the ways I have lived my Faith, I would have to say that the greatest of them all would be by sharing the glorious message with others that the heavens are indeed open; that the Lord speaks to man in our day, as well as in times gone by; that the Lord, in his mercy, has provided us a prophet to guide us through these times of trouble; that the church that Jesus Christ Himself set up on the earth has been restored to its former glory, and that because of these simple truths, we can all have full access to the Atonement of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that my Redeemer lives, and I will share it with the world. This is how I live my Faith.
