Hi I'm Tiffanie Thibodeau

I am a wife, a mother, a friend, a business women, and an advocate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am first a wife and then a mother. I curently am blessed to stay home with my children. I used to work outside the home, but feel the home is where I need to be. My children are young and they need me. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a Bacholers Degree in Child Development. I hope to one day get my masters in marriage and family counsling after the kids are grown. I am currently working to become a Doula to have a fun part time job to help women. I love to help others, especially "pregnant" others. I grew up in the church, but my parents divorced. I now have family in Michigan and family in Minnesota(my husbands side and my mom) I love life despite it's trials, and am always looking for ways to improve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becasue I know I am a daughter of God. Through this faith, I know that He loves me. I know that He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to attone for my sins and sorrows. I had been to different religions churches with my friends, and though they were good, I didn't feel full. I didn't feel they had the full knowledge that the Lord wants for us. This church, this faith has the fullness of the gospel. The Book of Mormon adds to the bible and to Jesus' teachings. It doesn't replace the bible. They work together. I also love that we have a living Prophet, president Monson. The Lord has not shut us out and still sends his diciples to teach us and give us modern day revelation. We aslo have the true priesthood, and what a blessing that is to have in the home. I love being Mormon becasue of the blessings of the Temple. I know that my family can be together forever if we remain faithful and worthy. This is so important to me, and for me to teach my children. The Temple is such a sacred place, and a wonderful place. Temple show us how much the Lord truley loves us. Lastly, with out this faith and being Mormon, I could of had a very different life. I have been through parents' divorce, abuse, and many other trials. IF it weren't for this faith, for the fullness of the gospel I don't think I would be as happy as I am now. I don't think I would have recovered as I have. I have a wonderful life that is blessed becasue I was strong in my faith and knew that I was not alone. Heavenly Father, Christ, and the Holy Ghost are there with me, guiding me, comforting me. I am Mormon becasue the fullness of the gospel makes me happy!

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by example. I have a lot of friends who are not of my faith. I often get asked questions about my faith, and I feel the best way to answer them is through example. To truley know what someone believes is to watch their actions not just listen to their words. It's like when I tell my child he needs to clean, but if I don't show him how, or clean myself he won't see the importance of my words. Same with showing your faith. I need to follow the "word of wisdom" as we call it (no drinking, no smoking, and eat healthy), serve others, dress modestly, and attend my church meetings. A blessing of being a mormon is that I get to serve in my ward as a Primary Teacher. I teach along with another woman the 4 and 5 year old class. They are such a joy to teach. They love to hear about the Savior Jesus Christ and are so smart. They love to show their knowledge at such a young age of what is right and wrong, love of Christ, and love of others. What a joy they are. When we serve in our church, we do not get paid. We do it becasue we want to, and we know the Lord wants us to. In a way its how we give back to the Lord (besides tithing) and help His church function and teach the gospel. The kids teach me as much as I teach them. Lastly and most importantly, I live my faith by being a wife and mother. My marriage covenant is the most important thing to me. I believe I will be with my husband forever, even after this life. So to be sure he will want to be with me forever, I put him first (second really only to God), and then my children. I love my children dearly and want to be a great mother. I want to prepare them to be great husbands and wives, and to live the gospel and love Heavely Father and Christ. I can also do this by my example.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Tiffanie Thibodeau
Husband and wife have a duty to eachother, to make eachother happy and to make thier children happy. They also have the duty to live righteously so that they, together can return to live with Heavenly Father. They have a duty to eachother to be faithful in keeping their marriage covenant in all areas. And love, they have the duty to love the Lord, eachother and their children. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Tiffanie Thibodeau
The quote above pretty much says it all. As a member we value life. And becasue there is no proof of when the sould enters the body, and becasue we believe we come to earth to gain a body, we don't abort pregnancies. Through my own experience, I believe the soul enters the fetuses body at conception. I believe that my children showed their personality inside the whom, and I felt a connection to life. Even though my last pregnancy was hard, I still loved being pregnant becasue I knew life was inside me, and I loved that life which is now my daughter. I also knew that the Lord loved her and had a plan for her, no matter what happened. As a mother, my job was to do what was necassary to keep that life as long as it presented no major danger to me, which it didn't. Show more Show less
