Hi I'm just Jenn

I'm from Show Low, Arizona. I am in school studying to be a Family Consumer Science teacher in Jr. High or High School.

About Me

I am a high school FACS (Family and Consumer Science) Teacher in Utah! I love teaching and sharing knowledge with others. I am a wife, daughter, sister and granddaughter. I love reading, hiking, camping longboarding, and being with my family. I love learning about our amazing bodies and the miracle of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never found greater happiness, joy and feelings for peace as I do from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints has helped me find my purpose and meaning of life. I have hope everyday that today will be better than yesterday. As I read the Bible and Book of Mormon I am better able to understand the commandments that he has asked me to keep and how through obedience I can show my love and gratitude for my Father in Heaven. I know that the gospel, as taught my Mormons is true and I hold that knowledge dear to more than almost anything else in life.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I have an amazing opportunity to teach the children in our community. I love preparing and planning lessons with them in mind. The comments they will make or the smiles on their faces when I plan an activity or bring treats. Each child is willing and anxious to learn more about our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. They have a growing testimony that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love them and I am so grateful I get to help in their understanding of who they really are: Children of God!

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

just Jenn
God loves each of his children. He wants us to return to live with him someday, just as grandparents love it when their children/grandchildren come home for a visit. The way for us to return to live back to a glorified and perfected being is for us to follow his commandments. Every person born on this earth has trials and difficulties or limitations we were born with. But we know that Heavenly Father hasn't given us anything that we can't overcome. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" 1 Corinthians 10:13. Just has others struggle with keeping the commandment of not participating in premarital sex, so do others struggle with homosexuality. It is the "natural man [who] is an enemy to God" Mosiah 3:19 that causes us to have those strong desires. we can overcome those temptations and put off the natural man as we pray. The Savior taught " Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" Matt 26:41. Through pray we can strengthen our spirit and not be subject to the weakness of the flesh. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

just Jenn
As a newlywed couple I am so grateful for this blessing that we as latter-day Saints have. Knowing that I will be able to be with my husband forever helps me to treat him and view him in a different life. He has great potential and is there to help me when I am struggling as well. Death does not separate us. A loving Father in Heaven knows that we find our greatest joys in family life. He would not take that away from us, but delights when we progress as a family unit and strive towards becoming more like his Son, Jesus Christ. I also have two brother who passed away as infants and our family has had several experiences where we know that they will be apart of our family after this life. I know families can be together forever through the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. How grateful I am to him so that I can be with my loved ones forever. Show more Show less
