Hi I'm Jett

I am color blind, a mixed martial artist and an Amazing Beatboxer. I am on my mission, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I do mixed martial arts fighting, and I enjoy it quite a bit, but right now I am on my mission and I am going to go to college at BYU-I and I am going to be studying whatever the Lord tells me to study. I am serving in the Arizona Phoenix Mission, and I am loving it. I am also a musician. I create electronic music, beatbox, and I am able to play 16 instruments. Since birth my mom always sang to me and i always went to church with my family. The hymns taught me how to sing really well and i started using my voice for more then singing. I have been beatboxing since I was 10 years old and have been since. I use my beatboxing to entertain people and to think when I am concentrating. Music has blessed me and I learned that Hymns can be a very powerful way to teach as well. I hope one day to bless the entire world with my music, and to help others to focus on the positive rather than the negative in this life. I think it would be outstanding. I have also produced two Albums under the Artist name Dj Jettpak. I hope that when I return from my mission I can continue to create music as I establish my life more.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I was forced, but because I willingly decided to be baptized by my father at the age of 8. I realize through my life that because of this church and everything I have been taught I can further my happiness by living more of the teachings and more of the commandments. I also am a Mormon because I have never been this happy in my life when it was not there, therefore it must be good. And even if it turns out to be false, I will not regret the fact that I lead the best life I could and the best future possible. But for the cause that this Church is true, I bear my testimony that His church is true and that without His prophet Joseph Smith we would be lost to His word and the light of every man and woman cannot shine. I also know that this Church is the true Church of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, I know that because I have prayed and asked and received my answer and I know that you can receive an answer as well, just ask and he is willing to answer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others as my family has been to me. This includes helping where it is needed and helping the areas missionaries and connecting with strangers with my music. Also I am living my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ and living his Gospel, namely Faith, Repentance, Baptism by immersion for the Remission of our Sins, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. So I am living it by Enduring, and those who would follow this Gospel would be happier than they ever could be. I also live my Faith by sharing it with others. Christ even comissioned all of his followers to "preach my gospel". In addition, I live it by being as best as I can be. And by being so, I have seen others progress in short amounts of time to become more as well.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

In my eyes I see temples as a little piece of heaven for us to escape the sin and desolation and destruction to seek guidance from god and feel his presence to help our decision making. I noticed that by going to the temple it also helps me to come closer to God and to understand more about his will, and I hope that more people can end up inside to feel that same feeling as well. It is also a place to help with ordinance for the dead as well as the living. A place where temporary does not exist, and is only Eternity. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Missions are not required but are a choice that we should all make. It is the one thing that truly matters, "When all else is said and done, the single most important task we have been given is to preach the Gospel to all ends of the Earth" -Joseph Smith. I myself made the decision to go on one my parents never even talked to me about it. Its a choice which we all can make due to our free agency. But as a missionary now I would like to invite all those who are deciding to go on one and to share what you know and what you believe with others. There is no greater happiness than this.
