Hi I'm Britt

I was born in Texas, grew up in California, and live in Oregon. I love traveling and trying new foods. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love decorating, organizing, and cooking! It just brings me such great satisfaction and happiness to have everything looking nice and in its place. Plus, everyone is happier if you can eat something yummy. I also love adventure and am very determined that I can do anything. A few years ago, my cousin invited me on a 200 mile bike trip. I imagined something like when I rode my bike around the neighborhood when I was younger and if we were heading south it must mean downhill. Well, we headed out a few days later and I learned very quickly that a road bike is not like my 10-speed bike I had in junior high and south definitely does not mean downhill! And apparently, people train for these kinds of rides. I did make it the whole way, but there may have been quite a few tears and a few numb fingers. Anyways, most of my time is actually spent in front of a computer because I work for a software consulting firm. My love of adventure and art is balanced by my business-tech brain. It brings me great satisfaction to solve business problems with technology especially if there are numbers involved. My newest love is my husband! Marriage is a great adventure. It is nice to have someone who can enjoy my cooking even when it does not quite turn out. We even do crafts together!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because at a young age I learned that my Heavenly Father loves me. He helped me to see how important it is to make good choices and that obedience to His commandments is what makes me and all those around me happy. Sometimes life can seem so complicated and confusing, but the gospel of Jesus Christ creates a clear path for my life. I have found great peace and joy as I have learned to feel and follow the Spirit and as I follow my Savior's example. Most importantly, I have felt the Lord's perfect love as He has extended His mercy and guidance in my life. Only my Savior can say "I know exactly how you feel" and that brings me strength and hope as I face the unknown world of challenges and decisions ahead.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by my words and through my actions. I am sometimes shy about the things I hold most dear, but I try to live a life that shows I know who I am and where I am going. I love finding people who have lived a life of integrity, honor, and virtue, which gives me a model for my life.
