Hi I'm Hyrum

I grew up in Wichita, KS. I am studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at BYU and I'm married a wonderful woman. I enjoy sports, especially basketball, ultimate frisbee, flag football and dodgeball. I have recently discovered a hobby in model rockets and just finished building my own launch pad. I hope to build my own rockets within the next year. When I'm not doing homework or being a TA, I am usually with my wife or friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am active in the Church because I know in my heart that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints truly is the kingdom of God on the earth. I love my Heavenly Father and more than anything I want to be clean and worthy to return to His presence and have eternal life with my wife and my family. I know that it is only through the Atoning blood of Jesus Christ that I can be cleansed of my sins and return to His presence. I strive to live my life in such a way so that when I die and meet my Savior, He will wrap me in His arms and say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

How I live my faith

I attend a regular sacrament and worship meetings with my wife on Sundays but we also attend a gospel and family study group each week on Tuesday evenings. We join with other young couples our age and learn about how to have better family relationships and learn more about Jesus Christ and His gospel. I love serving people around me in any way I can. There is an amazingly peaceful feeling you get when you help or encourage or befriend someone.
