Hi I'm Curtis

I grew up in Topeka, Kansas. I like cars, hiking, camping and swimming. I love my wife and daughter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 25 years old and I'm enrolled at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Before I came to BYU-I I graduated from a technical college wit a degree in welding. I never saw myself coming back to school. I am majoring in construction managment and would like to get an MBA afterwards. + I served in the Utah, Salt Lake City mission for the church and I absolutely loved it! I have lived in Kansas, Utah, Alaska and Idaho. My wife and I who have been married for three years, love to travel and experience what new places have to offer. In 2011 I became a father. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the main reason I have continued to e a Mormon is because I have seen blessings come from obedience to all that I have learned and applied. Besides the initial answer I received when I prayed about the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me many times that what I am doing is right in the lords eyes. I know that this is the Lord's church and that He leads us today.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I have taught in the Elder Quorum in two different wards. I love getting to discuss the doctrine and how we can live the gospel more fully. I have also participated in various callings with the Scouts. I love substituting in the primary when I am not doing anything else on Sundays.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Curtis
The Book of Mormon was written by ancient Prophets who were called by God, who lived on the American Continent. They recorded Gods dealings with the people who lived here and their testimonies of Christ the Savior. The record was abridged or condensed by an ancient Prophet named Mormon, which is where the book gets its name. Joseph Smith was led to the record and he translated it into English.
