Hi I'm Becca

I grew up in a small town. I love to visit new places, meet new people, and I hope I can make a difference. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a girl who grew up in a small Wyoming town, surrounded by green mountains and good, neighborly people. My parents taught me to have faith in the Lord, and trust that He keeps His promises. With four brothers, I loved to do everything they did whether it was rough-housing or snowboarding, catching salamanders, or making art. Art is a big part of my life, my father is an artist by profession, and like him, I've always had a affinity for the disciplines of drawing, painting and sculpting. I love the way the human form moves and just...is. There is something special about human beings, and we are not just created to live and die here on earth, but so much more. You can tell that when we were created, it was with love. There is so much beauty in a face, or a hand, or a silhouette of a person. And so much more when you truly know and love that person. I went to college, and there I discovered a lot about myself, including my many weaknesses. It was there that I decided to serve a mission for the Lord. I didn't know then that I really was doing myself a huge favor, because on my mission I learned that I could overcome weakness through and with the help of Jesus Christ. In my twenty-something years on earth, I've lived in a few different places on the west side of the United States, and to the Mid-western part of Canada. I love traveling and meeting new people, and haven't yet quenched my thirst for wandering.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given my life meaning. Without it, I might be afraid that there is no point to life, or that there might be nothing after this life. But because of life experiences, and because my parents taught me about Heavenly Father and prayer, I've learned that there is no end to being, and there is no end to love, and that I have a Creator who loves me, knows me, and is able to help me accomplish anything in this world.

How I live my faith

I have held callings or assignments in the church that allow me to teach, and are positions of trust. Whether it be a visiting teacher, part of a Relief Society presidency, or missionary, I've had the opportunity to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is so awesome, and to be a part of someone's life that may give me the opportunity to listen to them, serve them and love them. I also get to learn about the commandments, what and why God wants us to do certain things, such as paying tithing and offerings, abstaining from certain substances, and repenting of mistakes, just to name a few. As I do these things, I learn that God truly knows the best way of life. This gospel is truly a way of living happily, and I plan on doing it for the rest of eternity!
