Hi I'm Dan

I am a father. I have five wonderful children - two adopted and a set of triplets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 25 years. I am a satellite communication engineer. I play trumpet in a swing band. I'm a handyman and enjoy woodworking. I have an adult son, a daughter in college, and a set of triplets in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the teachings of this church are true. I feel closer to the Lord and better about myself when I keep the commandments. The church gives meaning and purpose to my life. It gives me an eternal perspective on life. It helps me overcome trials and challenges with hope and optimism. The teachings of the church help me to avoid the pitfalls of sin and addiction. I feel more free when I keep the commandments.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my Mormon congregation. I strive to keep the Lord's commandments and to love and serve others. I serve as a counselor to the spiritual leader of our congregation. I help plan our worship services, and help ensure all the volunteer positions in our congregation are fully staffed. I conduct the worship services occasionally. I oversee the activity and music programs, programs for children, and programs for young single adults. I serve as an adult adviser to the 14 and 15 year old young men and women in our congregation. I am also assigned to visit and care for several families in our congregation. I visit with them monthly, share a spiritual message, and see that their physical needs are met.
