Hi I'm Robyn

I'm a wife and mother to almost 5 miracle babies, business owner, entrepreneur, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother living in a smaller city, enjoying life to the fullest! I enjoy music, camping, hiking, swimming, eating pizza on Friday night and watching movies with my family. My husband and I do our best to get out on a date each week, we enjoy traveling with our kids and truly are each others' best friend. I work from home coaching individuals and groups through healthy eating, weight loss, physical fitness and learning to rise above the negativity of the world to embrace your inner power! I believe ALL people can change, no matter where you've come from or what you've done or not done.

Why I am a Mormon

I have studied deeply the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as that of several other religions that I have found to be fun and edifying. I choose to remain a member of this church as I have found more truth in it, than any other church. I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that this church and its leaders are not perfect. But I have also felt deeply that this church is the most true church on the earth today. We have the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ as He set it up in ancient days- with Apostles, prophets, congregations, scripture, baptism, and priesthood ordinances and authority from God. Following the doctrines of this church has brought me more happiness and peace than any other thing I have ever pursued.

How I live my faith

When serving the Lord, I consider motherhood my highest priority. I believe raising a righteous generation will help further the work of the Lord faster than anything else! In my church family I am often called upon to help with musical needs. I currently help with the 10-11 yr old girls and host fun activities and learning opportunities in my home a few times a month with them. I believe that everyone is a Child of God and treat them so. No matter what you may look like, or how you speak, you have my love. I know that my actions and trying my best to be like my Savior Jesus Christ helps further my faith, and the kingdom of God.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Robyn
I have lost over 30 lbs during this past year. I was borderline diabetic, and feeling physically terrible. I found that when I am physically not feeling well, my spiritual self also suffers. In response to my diagnoses and physical troubles, I prayed to Heavenly Father for guidance. I had been curious about different "healthy eating" diets and programs that are out there, and as you know, there are A LOT. However, the Lord turned my thoughts to this gospel principle: the Word of Wisdom. In the beginning of this scriptural passage, the Lord warns about evil men in the last days conspiring against truths relating to health and vitality. I have found that warning to be real and true. As I seriously studied and contemplated this health guide, I found three truths that led to my weight loss and ultimately a life-style change for me and my family. #1: Go to bed on time and get up in the morning at a decent hour. #2: Really go easy on meat of any kind. #3: Eat lots and a variety "fruits of the vine", or basically fruits and veggies. I found these three things to not only help me regain physical health, but also to be happier, more vital in all roles in my life, and my family has also changed physically and we are more happy and healthy.
