Hi I'm Chris Yukon

I was born in Spokane, Washington. My dad is retired from the air force. I go to college at BYU-Idaho and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I served a spanish speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from April of 2007 till April of 2009. I learned more from that experience than I could have learned doing anything else. I grew up on McChord Air Force Base, near Tacoma Washington. I love Washington and how green and pretty it always is. I also actually enjoy the rain. I like enjoying the outdoors, camping, canoeing, rock climbing, basically I am willing to do anything. I am currently attending BYU-Idaho and love being involved. I have participated in several activities on campus from sports to dances to helping with freshmen orientation.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and he has set the example for me. When I was 14 I went to a church camp called EFY, while I was there they showed a video about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. While I watched I found myself tearing up. At that moment I realized it was the Holy Ghost testifying to me the truthfulness of everything I had been taught my whole life. From that moment I knew I had to continue to strive to be the best example I could be and follow the teachings of our Savior.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. It is my opportunity to be spiritually uplifted and gives me the opportunity to focus on the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. I also have been able to serve in several capacities for the church from being a full-time missionary to a mission leader, Sunday School Presidency, Elders Quorum Presedency, Executive Secretary, Ward Clerk, and most importantly as a home teacher.
