Hi I'm Melani

I grew up in Arizona. I'm a wife and a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a home with five sisters and one brother. I am the second oldest. We moved from Mesa to Snowflake at the beginning of my Junior High years. I met my husband in Snowflake, while he was serving in his last area on his mission. We had a homeless family living with us (my parents were always giving shelter to people). They were not members of our church, so we had the missionaries teaching them the discussions. One of the missionaries was transferring out, so my Dad drove down to Phoenix to pick up the new missionary. That missionary just so happened to be my husband now. He finished his mission after baptizing this family. He came back to Snowflake less than a week after he got home. He took me to Utah to meet his family. A week later on my way home, he proposed to me with a ring and everything. We were married a month and a half later in the Las Vegas Temple over my Christmas break of my Senior Year in High School. On December 28th of this year will be our eighteenth anniversary. We have two amazing sons, ages sixteen and thirteen. I feel so blessed to be their mother. We have lived in Utah, California, Arizona and now live in beautiful Colorado. I love going out every Friday with my husband to dinner and a movie. I love spending time with my boys.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful to be a part of this church. I feel such a joy in life because of it. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and for what he has done for me. I am so grateful to know that I can be with my family forever. I am grateful for Joseph Smith, and his sacrifice so that we could have the Book Of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have worked with children in our church, and youth. I have grown to love them, from serving them.
