Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of the Church so growing up I felt comfortable going. After my parents divorced when I was really young I fell away from church and definitely questioned if it was true or not. When I got older and wanted to continue with my education I felt very lonely and upset that I was away from my family and I deciding to pray for myself for the first time in YEARS! I never felt at peace at that moment like I did. I know it sounds crazy, but after that peace feeling I continued to go to church almost in craving for that feeling. My testimony of the gospel has never been stronger. There is this peace and love that my Heavenly Father has for me especially and I can feel it, so knowing that living the gospel and following the commandments are blessings to me I love him so much. Knowing that he loves me, because I know that I am a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

Understanding that I am a daughter of God and that he loves me to infinity and beyond I know that I am never alone, ever. With that living to my full potential of the gospel I have never been happier. Living the commandments of Heavenly Father is not a burden to me but so much as blessings to me. I feel at peace with myself and a great relationship with my Heavenly Father. The best that I can do for others around me is be an example to them and for them to see me how happy I am. Prayer and reading the scriptures are my best tools to having a relationship with my loving Heavenly Father.

What is faith?

Faith is believing in the unseen, trusting, full confidence in God. Once you start practicing your faith like reading the scriptures, following the commandments, daily prayers, studying what our prophets say, and having the desire to learn and to believe in Christ, your faith will grow quickly.
