Hi I'm Wuta (Boris) Beta

I was born and raised in California. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hey! So a little about me. First I am a full time college student. I have played soccer my whole life and even 4 years at the collegiate level. While working on my undergraduate studies, I work as a personal trainer and I am pursuing a career in physical therapy. I love just about everything and anything a guy likes. I really love being outdoors and doing such things like spending time snowboarding, wakeboarding, exercising, running, hiking, biking, etc. I love playing sports and i'm always down to do something sports related. I also enjoy reading when I have or make the time and hanging out with friends and just having a good time. First and foremost though I love being with my family and spending time with them and I would do so all day every day if I could! I have been on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it was a wonderful experience teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of New York and increasing my understanding and faith in Jesus Christ in the process.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because ever since I began learning about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the plan of salvation that God has set for us through His son Jesus Christ, I knew it was right for me, I just needed the courage to live up to it! And when I finally made the decision to accept his true gospel, it made all the difference! I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because I have learned that the gospel allows me through personal sacrifice to give the most of myself to God and His children and that by so doing, myself as well as others can enjoy the blessings that God has to offer us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always given me the answers that I have sought and has always shown me that God feels and thinks just as I do about my life and the life of others. When I became LDS (Mormon), everything that I learned only added to what I already knew and greatly enlarged my understanding so that I could really comprehend why I am here, where I came from and where i'm going. I can compare it to when John the Baptist called out to the people telling them, "prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." When I sought to live my life in accordance with Jesus Christ's teachings and the time was right, I was ready, able and willing to recognize his truths when He came into my life and they were taught to me. I love God and Jesus Christ and the Gospel, it makes me smile and brings peace and happiness to me that I can spread to others!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply following my heart. I do my best each day to help others around me, and I seek each day to increase my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ through study, prayer (of both school and the gospel) and application of what I know and feel to be true and right for me. I don't always get it right but I at least try, and I make the necessary adjustments that I feel put my life in accordance with the Savior's teachings because i've learned through experience and personal sacrifice that those things make me and others happy. I teach a gospel principles sunday school class every couple of sundays and I try to be involved with the other Christian groups on campus as they seek to serve others as well. I've been a counselor for the especially for youth program (EFY) and it's a blast teaching the youth the gospel and helping them realize way's they can increase their faith in Jesus christ.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Wuta (Boris) Beta
Nope not at all! People like to bring up the past history of our religion when it comes to this question. All I can say is that I know that God at times works through man when the time and circumstances are right and I feel that the time in which the priesthood was given to all worthy male members of the church was right. I believe that because of the history of our world and events within our nation we weren't quite ready before that time. And even in the the Bible the gospel wasn't preached to gentiles for a time so who are we to judge when the time is right for God's purposes. Isaiah 55: 8-11 Show more Show less
