Hi I'm Lexie

I'm an interior and floral designer. I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, seemingly having a perfect life, never encountering any life changing trials, other than teen drama. One Fall day my world turned upside down and I learned about what had been hidden from my innocent eyes my entire life. I learned of the addiction that was trying to destroy my family. Pornography. Fortunately, my Father in Heaven knew I would need someone special in my life at this difficult time. I was dating the man who would eventually become my husband and he was definitely my rock through this trial. Satan is still working at our family, and we have seen the power he can have if we let him, but we are continuing the battle and we aren't giving up.

Why I am a Mormon

I live the gospel because I love it. It's what makes me happy. It's what brings me comfort. It's what helps me through. Knowing that I always have a Father in Heaven who is listening when I don't feel like anyone else will understand is the best comfort in the world. I can't imagine my life without the Gospel. When I am feeling down and unhappy I know that its because I have let something slide in the spiritual side of my life. Living outside of Utah for the past year has given me even greater perspective. I look at coworkers and neighbors and see how unhappy or stuck they are, not knowing where to go or what to do next, complaining about their spouse or children. The Gospel gives such a great perspective on life, marriage, family, and so much more. No my life isn't perfect, but I know that I can receive the guidance and help I need from the Gospel teachings. Being a Mormon is not about converting people who don't want to be. It's not about having a dozen children. It's not about not drinking certain things. It's not about being judgmental of others. It's about happiness here on this earth and happiness when we return to our Father in Heaven. I'm a Mormon because it's what makes my life a great life.

How I live my faith

Daily prayer, studying the scriptures and church doctrine, serving others, and attending the temple help me to better live my faith. When I'm not doing these things regularly I can see a big difference in my happiness and productivity.
