Hi I'm Audrey

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and am an 8th grader who enjoys art, crafts, music, and school (sometimes...)

About Me

I really enjoy playing the flute and singing...I actually made it into all county band- a special band you have to audition to get into- and ranked first chair!! I was really excited. I am currently an 8th grader and also really enjoy crafts like making jewelery and crocheting. I am currently taking geometry-I hate homework- and enjoy things like swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since I was 8 years old and my testimony (belief) has increased tenfold since. I have felt Heavenly Father's love so much recently and even a while back. I know that the church is true. I have no doubt in my mind that I have a loving Father in heaven that watches out for me and understands the struggles I am going through. I have felt him answer my prayers and I know through this church that he loves me and that I am his daughter and that everyone has infinite worth. I know that one day I can return to him and be like him. This church has enriched and blessed my life so much that I do not know what I would do without it. It provides me such peace and such understanding. It provides me with hope and standards to lean on. I KNOW that with His help I can weather any trial and stay morally clean. One day I can return to him. I have such a strong testimony that this church is true and as I said before, peace follows it. I want you to know that Heavenly Father is watching out for you. You may not know it, be he always has. His arms are open and he wants his precious child to be back with him. This is why I am a Mormon. This church provides me hope and peace and the knowledge that I am loved and that no matter what, Heavenly Father will still love me and he knows what I am going through. He doesn't care about my test scores or what vocation I one day hold. All that he cares about is that I am happy and happiness can only come by following him. I KNOW that the church is true and I KNOW that Heavenly Father loves me and you and everyone else. He hears us and understands our trials, pains, and fears.

How I live my faith

I have previously been secretary for the youth-young woman-which is a calling-responsibility- in my church. I read my Book of Mormon - the second testament of Jesus Christ- five minutes every night and also read my bible and my for the Strength of Youth pamphlet every night. (For the Strength of Youth is an amazing pamphlet that outlines my standards/values) I also, try my best to be kind and follow the teachings of the living prophets.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

As Mormons, we believe that men and woman are EQUAL. Mormon women are the same as any other woman except that in our church it is very encouraged for mothers to stay home and teach/nurture their children rather than work. A father's job is to provide for and protect their family and in most cases that I've seen, the father works while the mother stays home. Of course, this decision is up to the mother and father and it is encouraged to do what they believe to be the right thing for their family. I think that prayer is a big part of the decision for some people. Also, we try to be kind, patient, humble, Christlike, and charitable. Show more Show less
