Hi I'm Han

I was born in Korea and grew up as a foreign student in the U.S. Now I live in the DC area with my wonderful wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Originally from South Korea, I most recently moved to the DC area from North Carolina where I finished my undergraduate education. In college, I studied economics and started an undergraduate economics journal. I enjoy playing most sports except for basketball and love sitting down for a good chat with friends. I aspire to one day open up a small theater for amateur actors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I was raised as Mormon, so this knowledge came to me quite naturally in my childhood. As I grew, however, I started to question whether what I had been taught was indeed true and whether I would continue in the faith of my parents. I thought about this for weeks, perhaps months, before I finally realized that I would need to ask God in prayer to get a personal conviction. I did so, and now I have a strong conviction, or testimony, that Jesus Christ's Gospel has indeed been restored through Joseph Smith. I also know that God loves me and that He has a plan for me. I love the Savior who has atoned for all my sins, and that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have lived in many places at various points in my life. I grew up in Seoul until middle school, attended a Catholic high school in Utah, and went to a college in North Carolina. I also served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York and a mandatory military duty in a remote, mountainous region in Korea. Now I work in the business consulting industry in the DC area. In all these places, I have tried to be a good son, brother, friend, student, missionary, soldier, employee and now husband, and that's one way I live my faith. But more importantly, I live my faith by having deep gratitude for my Savior's sacrifice and sharing love with those around me.
