Hi I'm Carmen

I grew up in Alaska, USA. I love to hike and to listen to the sounds of nature. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have one grown-up daughter who has just made me a proud grandma. I am also newly married. I love my husband and our families. Spending time with each other and our loved ones no matter what we're doing is the best. I have worked as a secretary at a large hospital for many years. I enjoy and love my co-workers. I love to study and learn. My goal is to go back to school to continue learning. Enjoying God's beautiful creations is definitely one of my favorite things to do. Watching and listening to a river or stream is so tranquil. And the awe-inspiring ability of birds to dart and drive through the air is just amazing. I am a happy woman. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is the church of Jesus Christ. I reunited with an old friend, Mike, from 20 years ago. He had become a Mormon. Over the next year, Mike would occasionally share spirtual thoughts with me. They always rung true, so I was intrigued. We eventually married, and I converted to the church with a deep assurance or testimony that this is the church of Jesus Christ, that our Heavenly Father loves us each deeply and individually, and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. When we follow His commandments, we are happier and blessings abound. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving everyday to follow the example Jesus Christ gave us. I try to always be kind and to provide a helping hand where needed. When I fail, I repent and ask for forgiveness from those I have hurt, whether that be a loved one, a stranger, my Heavenly Father, and/or myself. I am certainly not perfect. All I can do is my best. If I keep doing my best everyday, I will eventually get there. Endure to the end.
