Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a mom of one and get to stay home full time with my baby. I studied dietetics in college and am a Registered Dietitian. I love spending time with my husband and daughter and feel that motherhood is the noblest calling I have in this life. In my spare time I love to scrapbook, go on walks with my baby, and go window shopping. I also love music: listening, playing, singing, you name it! Uplifting music has great power and inspires me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had the great opportunity to learn the gospel from my parents and grandparents throughout my childhood by both their words and example. I knew that the gospel was a good thing and I tried to find out for myself if it was the Lord's true church today. At the age of 14 I was encouraged by a friend to read my scriptures everyday. I did this as well as try to say my morning and evening prayers and my testimony grew. I have a special testimony of the reality of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that he suffered for all my physical and emotional pain as well as for my sins. I know he did this so that he could understand my pain and comfort me. I love that as members of the LDS church we can enter into sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father through baptism and in his temples. These covenents provide a roadmap for life that will lead us back into his presence. The gospel gives me direction and peace in a changing world full of "ifs" "maybes" and many other unknowns. I have gone through hard things in my life and the one sure thing that has supported me through them all is my testimony of my Savior. He is my rock and foundation. I know that if I build my foundation on him I cannot fall. (My favorite scripture is Heleman 5:12 in the Book of Mormon.)

How I live my faith

For the past 2 years I have enjoyed teaching the young women in my ward. I get to spend time with them on Sundays learning from the scriptures and we also get together for an activity one night during the week. I also enjoy playing the music on the organ for our sacrament meeting services each Sunday. I feel like the best way I can share the gospel and what I believe is by the example I set. My husband and I try to set a good example for our daughter by saying prayers morning and night, reading our scriptures, and attending our church meetings.
