Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Texas. I'm not a cowboy but I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to a beautiful wife and father to 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. I enjoy sports and going on dates with my wife to the movies. My wife and I also enjoy going to plays and musical performances. I also enjoy dancing with my daughters and watching games with my son. I went to college and earned a degree in accounting. Not thrilling I know but I like it. I now work as a staff accountant to provide for my family. The greatest thing in the world is watching my children interact with each other knowing that will last forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I like many other Mormons was born to parents who were also Mormons. I was taught growing up what they believed and what it meant to be a Mormon. The time came though that I needed to decide for myself if what I was being taught was true and if I wanted to follow this path. I thought about all of the experiences I had had as Mormon growing up and how I felt. I also offered prayers to my Heavenly Father and asked if these teachings were true. The answers I received were a undeniable feeling that yes these things are true and that I was doing what Heavenly Father wanted me to do. This knowledge has since guided all my decisions and helped me become who I am today. The happiness I feel in my life today is because of the choice I made in my life to be a Mormon and follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings that He so mercifully gives to me.

How I live my faith

I attend church services every Sunday and have the opportunity to teach a class during these services each week. It is a class where those who are visiting or those who have recently joined the church come and learn the basics of what we believe. It is one of my favorite classes the church offers because I am able to strengthen my understanding and belief of the principles of my faith. I also have the opportunity to visit members and non-members of our church in their homes. I make these visits many times with missionaries serving in our church. I love the opportunity to visit individuals in their homes and see how they are doing and share what I believe. I also try and live my faith each day through my actions and words. Small acts of kindness or kind words can go a long way to help someone have a better day. I don't think we realize the great power and influence our actions and words can have. My hope is that by living my faith, those around me will feel better about themselves and be happier.
