Hi I'm Troy

I am a husband and father of four children. I am a math teacher and high school football coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a husband and father, I enjoy spending valuable time with my family. We've had the opportunity live in many regions of the United States including Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and Alabama. I attended to United States Air Force Academy prior to serving a mission in St. Petersburg, Russia. Following my mission, I attended the University of Alabama and completed my graduate studies at the University of Louisville. I enjoy being a high school math teacher and football coach. My hobbies include raising chickens, gardening, golf and coaching my children in various sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my personal testimony that Jesus is the Son of God, He died for our sins and was resurrected. My testimony of these fundamental gospel truths has provided me with a spiritual foundation and a desire to live a meaningful life. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have the opportunity to "live" my faith and to gain a greater understanding of God's eternal plan of happiness. My testimony is rooted in many personal spiritual experiences and is continually strengthened by the actions of others. The gospel of Jesus Christ and His teachings are alive and thriving in this Church. The Savior's teachings are consistently taught in accordance with the scriptures. As a Mormon, I value the Bible and its teachings as well as other revealed scripture that provides further testimonies of the Savior Jesus Christ. I value any opportunity I have to improve my relationship with Jesus Christ and my family. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provides me with those opportunities on a daily basis. I am a Mormon, because I know the principles taught are those that Jesus Christ would teach if he were on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my my faith by striving to improve my relationship with Jesus Christ each day. Regular scripture study and prayer help me to maintain a better perspective on life. With the everyday challenges we all face, I have grown to rely on the gospel message of joy and happiness to encourage and uplift me. My current calling allows me to serve the members of the area, especially the youth. I truly enjoy seeing the youth of the Church grow spiritually as they develop their own personal testimony of the gospel. I strive to identify with their struggles and encourage them as they face the challenges of the world. I make every effort to be an example to others by the things I say and do. I realize I am not perfect. However, I do have the opportunity to improve each day. I evaluate my relationships with others regularly to ensure I am doing everything I can to serve them and treat them right. As I strive to follow the Savior's example, I feel joy and peace in my soul.
