Hi I'm Shad

I grew up in California and am the oldest of 4 children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to exercise, whether it be at the gym or going on a run every now and then. I really enjoy boating and I like to wakeboard and water tube whenever I get the chance. I like music and have played instruments such as the piano, trombone, and drums. I like to play sports and have played on the varsity football, basketball, and volleyball teams for my high school. I served as a full time missionary for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission and I am now going to school.

Why I am a Mormon

The values and standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have made me who I am today. I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in the church and honestly don't know where I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Jesus Christ is my Elder Brother and God is my Heavenly Father. They have strengthened and provided comfort through my personal trials and have blessed me in ways beyond measure. The gospel plan allows all of us to be able to return to their presence and live together with our families for all time and eternity. This is my simple testimony and why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by adhering to the doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the best of my ability. I attend my church meetings, go to the temple, and serve those in need (whether it be in the community, my family, friends, or anyone for that matter). I make an effort to fulfill the callings that are given to me such as being a home teacher to certain members in my ward. I also study the scriptures (the Bible and Book of Mormon), and pray to my Heavenly Father daily.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Shad
In essence, the Atonement allows all of God's children to return to him. Jesus Christ payed the ultimate price by suffering for ALL of our sins, pains, infirmities, and afflictions. Without his death and resurrection, eternal life would not be possible nor would forgiveness of sins. It is the greatest gift ever offered to man kind and it's our responsibility to accept it and apply it to our every day lives. Show more Show less
