Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a music lover, laughter addict, photographer and hopeless romantic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in 13 different houses/apartments. I was born in Nashville, TN and am living in Rexburg, ID currently, but I consider Saint Cloud, FL to be home. I love to go on adventures and laugh more than I cry. I am studying Marriage and Family Studies with a clinical emphasis and minoring in photography. I have played flute for over ten years now and can never get sick of music. My love for music started when I would hear my siblings practice for their piano lessons. In elementary school, I found myself trying to teach myself how to play the piano. I have never had a piano lesson, but I do love to play the piano. I guess you could say my love for music was just in my blood. I grew up playing volleyball pretty much every day of my life. It was the family sport. It brought us all together and was one of the few things my family could agree on. I love cheesecake and have an odd obsession with cooking. I love to smile and more often than not you'll hear the words "I love my life" come out of my mouth. I love Disney movies ESPECIALLY Lion King and Beauty and The Beast and love going to playgrounds just to feel like a kid again. I am the youngest of 6 kids. My parents got a divorce when I was in elementary school and then my dad died when I was 13. I, like everyone else, have had my struggles, but I can't help but smile because of all the things I have learned through them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and am so grateful for that. I have had my fair share of struggles, but the gospel was the only constant in my life this whole time. It has always just brought so much happiness into my life. When I was younger, I was always taught: "This is a gospel of wings, not chains". That is something that I KNOW is true. Because I have the gospel, I am free to live a life without the struggles that come with worldly matters like alcohol addictions, lack of sexual purity, etc. The gospel has given me the strength I need to keep my standards high because I know it's true. I am a Mormon because I prayed about it and I received an answer from my Father in Heaven that this is His gospel. This gospel brings peace to my life and has made me who I am. You may ask "Why are you a Mormon" and my only response to you would be "The gospel is the only thing that has always made sense. Why wouldn't I choose to be part of that?"

How I live my faith

With being a marriage and family studies major, I am always learning how to strengthen relationships and I am constantly sharing that information with others. Families are central to the LDS faith and if I can just help one person to strengthen their relationships with others, I would feel at peace. I live my faith by just doing simple acts of kindness every day--whether it be a letter/phone call, a hug, or just a smile, I get lost in service. I love making people smile and always try to be the silver lining to people's cloudy days. I stand for what I believe in and don't let my guard down for temporary pleasures.
